The committed instructional staff of 18 teachers and a full-time social worker provide the pupil/professional staff ratio that promotes cognitive/social/emotional progress. The community of 1700 individuals is just minutes away from Wichita and recognizes the school district as one of its greatest assets. A sign of this support is the $16 million bond issue that allowed the district to add and remodel classrooms from PreK through 12th grade. The elementary school provides a curriculum which focuses on academic growth and individual student needs.
Essential Functions include: Oversees the various functions of the elementary school building. Delegates responsibility when appropriate. Evaluates assigned personnel to ensure that standards are achieved and performance is maximized. Provides appropriate support and information to students, staff, parents and community. Fosters the engagement of all stakeholder groups in the furtherance of district goals and initiatives.
Experience: Previous experience as a principal is a preference but not a requirement. The district is looking for an individual who can show examples of leadership, character and the ability to motivate others to become their best.
