Maize South High School is seeking a High Incidence ELA Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The teacher should be licensed for high incidence special education or be in the process of obtaining the endorsement. Maize does offer tuition reimbursement for teachers working towards the degree who are eligible for a waiver. Special education teacher are supported by a team of instructional/special education coaches and receive four student free days a year to focus on EIP paperwork. Maize has a lot to offer teachers new to the district and those new to the profession. All new teachers are matched with a qualified mentor and both the mentor and mentee are supported by our team of Student Support Specialists and Instructional Coaches. New teachers also participate in 8 half day professional development opportunities throughout the school year. Our teachers are encouraged to continue to learn and grow. We offer a professional learning series that qualifies for college credits. Tuition reimbursement is also a great perk! Safe and well maintained facilities are another great feature found in the Maize district. The intermediate, middle, and high schools all have school resource officers, and all schools have physical safety features built in. The two intermediate schools are in their second year and were designed to allow amazing collaboration.
