Barber County North USD 254 serves students and families in a 718 square mile area of Medicine Lodge, KS, in Barber and Pratt Counties. PreK-12 Students attend one of two attendance centers. Students in PreK-6  attend Medicine Lodge Grade School, and Medicine Lodge Junior/ Senior High School is a 2A school serving students in grades 7 through 12. 

Medicine Lodge is a small, friendly community located in south-central Kansas. The town is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, including the Medicine Lodge Indian Peace Treaty of 1867, which brought peace between the United States government and several tribes of Native Americans.
