Physical Education Teacher - Burlington High School/Burlington Middle School

USD #244 has a Physical Education position available. The successful applicant will teach PE to High School and Middle School students.  This position gives the ideal applicant a chance to create a dynamic PE program, along with contributing to a very successful athletics program. Why Teach PE  In Burlington?

·              BHS recently completed a full weight room renovation in the Summer of 2022. The new weight room is a first-class facility that features all new, top-of-the-line equipment. It also features a turfed section through the middle, perfect for speed/agility indoors.

·              The district is currently undergoing a massive turf project -- All 3 high school fields (football, baseball, softball) will be turf by April of 2023.

·              Resources! You will not find a district that commits more to its students, teachers, and coaches than we do in Burlington. Is it good for kids? Will it help our teams, classes, and school be successful? We will do everything we can to give our teachers and coaches whatever they need to help our kids reach their potential.

Wow! I really want to teach PE in Burlington. What are the qualifications?

• The ideal candidate will also coach on the BHS campus. Current openings include Head Volleyball and potential assistant coaching opportunities. 
• Proper certification in Physical Education.
• A desire to help create a dynamic PE and weights program at BHS.
