USD 330 Mission Valley "Home of the Vikings" is looking for a 7-12 principal who is a dynamic individual to lead a rural Jr-Sr High School with approximately 220 students, 30 (certified & classified) staff members.  This building leader is responsible for the daily operations of the building, to provide leadership in effective teaching & classroom strategies, curriculum, student achievement, and the overall school environment.  The selected candidate is responsible for coordinating and working with a variety of parent/patron organizations.

USD 330 Mission Valley is currently approaching the final phase of a $12 million dollar facility project that is scheduled to be complete August 2024.  This facility project includes: 

NEW (CTE addition, 7-12 Secure Entrance, K-12 communication system, softball/baseball complex, new all-weather track, new turf football field, flex classroom

RENOVATIONS: Vocational Agriculture building, (2) science classrooms, 7-12 administrative office, HVAC & electrical.

The district also committed $30,000 to district wide KAGAN Cooperative Learning Structures during the 2023-2024 school year.

USD 330 Mission Valley completed its first KESA cycle and was determined by KSDE that the district be fully accredited. The building principal is responsible for coordinating KESA activities including developing ongoing plans to drive and support educational growth in the building.

Mission Valley is a member of the Flint Hills League which beginning Fall 2024 will include (Wabaunsee, Council Grove, Lyndon, Osage City, West Franklin, Chase County, and Cair-Paravel).  The 7-12 principal will work alongside the assistant principal/activities director in supervising school events, event planning and organization, and maintaining positive relationships with parents, patrons, and other school districts.

Mission Valley Schools is a K-12 facility which provides education services for all USD 330 students.  USD 330 provides its own special education services.  Mission Valley Schools is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Topeka, 35 miles north of Emporia, and 45 miles southeast of Manhattan.  The school district is comprised of the rural communities of Dover, Eskridge, and Harveyville with an area of 372 sq miles.

Mission Valley USD 330 is located approx. 30-50 minutes from Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan, and Emporia.  We are a 2A district with our Elementary/Junior High and High School both centrally located at the same site between the towns of Eskridge, Dover, and Harveyville.

In August 2022 the district patrons voted to pass a $12 million bond to upgrade the current facilities.  This project will include a secure entrance at the 7-12 entrance, 7-12 office renovation, renovated science classrooms, renovated Vocational Agriculture Education building, new Career Technical Education center, new softball & baseball field complex, new all-weather track, new artificial turf football field, and other upgrades to current infrastructure.
