Beloit USD 273 has an opening for an Agricultural Education Instructor/ FFA advisor. Beloit Agricultural Education and FFA is a strong two teacher program with a very engaged, aware, and supportive community. The program features newly updated tools, machines, and welding equipment, for both the Ag Mechanics and Welding programs as well as a 20’x 40’ greenhouse constructed in 2020 in support of Plant and Soil science and horticulture classes. Beloit FFA has incredible support from the community and district both valuing the program and supporting it financially. The district is in the early planning stages of designing a new ag facility with classrooms, shop, multipurpose space and kitchen and community donations in support of this project have totaled $130,000.  Supplemental positions for coaching and sponsorships available to qualified candidates.

Minimum starting salary for B.A. - $38,875 Minimum starting salary for M.A. - $40,913 (These salaries are based on the current salary schedule.) 20 days extended contract

Building staff includes 41 professionals, 3 secretaries, 13 paraeducators and aides, 3 custodians, 1 maintenance worker, 1 director of buildings and grounds and 4 cooks. Average enrollment grades 7-12 is 348, with an average class size of 16 students per teacher.

Beloit School District USD #273 is the host district for the Beloit Special Education Cooperative. The Beloit Special Education Cooperative provides a full continuum of services for students with disabilities in accordance to the Individuals with Disabilities Act 2004 (IDEA-R). The districts the cooperative serves are USD #107 Rock Hills, USD #272 Waconda, USD #273 Beloit, USD #298 Lincoln, and USD #299 Sylvan Grove.
