School Social Worker:  Goddard Public Schools Special Education Cooperative is seeking a World Class School Social Worker for Challenger Intermediate (5th/6th) School. Candidates interested in working in a collaborative and innovative environment with opportunities to develop their professional skills are encouraged to apply. School Social Worker duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Serve as an advocate for all children and youth.
  2. Participates in comprehensive evaluation of students.
  3. Provides individual and group counseling and support to students.
  4. Provides support to classroom teachers.
  5. Responds to crisis situations in schools.
  6. Implements appropriate programs, groups and initiatives to target at-risk populations.
  7. Plan individual school programs to promote a positive and caring school climate.
  8. Coordinates and facilitates appropriate community services to students.
