An exceptional music educator is being sought to lead our award-winning orchestral program.  Nestled within the suburban areas of Southwest Topeka, KS, Washburn Rural High School boasts a performing arts program that is among the very best in the nation.  Selected as the National Performing Arts School of Excellence in 2018, our music programs consist of 3 orchestras, 6 bands, 6 choirs, Percussion Ensemble as well as courses in Music Theory and Music History.  Total program enrollment exceeds 700 students in any given year.  The WRHS Director of Orchestras is responsible for developing and implementing a vision of excellence in all facets of their assignment, grades 5 through 12. 

Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement required.

Salary based on education and experience on salary schedule and ranges from $44,750-$69,100.
