Vocational Agriculture - high school

Buhler USD 313 • www.usd313.org

Buhler USD 313 is currently accepting applications for an agriculture education teacher at Buhler High School starting with the 2022-2023 school year.  Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Kansas teaching license in agricultural education.

Buhler High School is one of the largest agriculture education departments in Kansas focusing on a very diverse, comprehensive, and rigorous curriculum.  Buhler FFA is an affiliate FFA chapter, so all students are involved in FFA.  The multi-teacher department offers agriculture education classes (7-12) in four different pathways: Animal Systems, Plant Systems, Agricultural Power, Structural & Technical Systems, and Comprehensive Ag Science.

There is some flexibility in courses taught next school year as enrollment will dictate curricular offerings.  Potential classes could include Ag Science (1st-year high school students), Animal Science, Advanced Animal Science, Plant Science, and/or Advanced Plant Science.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong FFA background and interest in fulfilling the three-circle model of classroom/laboratory, FFA, and SAE.

The position will include an extended summer contract and an FFA supplemental position.

Applications must be received online from our website at www.usd313.org. Contact Tammy Heidel at theidel@usd313.org or call 620-543-5615 if you have questions about the online application process.
