6th Grade Math/Science TeacherThomas More Prep-Marian • www.tmp-m.org Thomas More Prep-Marian Jr/Sr High School (2A co-ed Catholic school, enrollment 281 students, JH portion is 133 students) is seeking a full-time junior high science/math teacher to inspire students to become proficient in the scientific method, analyzing data, experimentation, math skills, and creative thinking and problem solving necessary for success in college and career. A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Math or Science Education, Math, Biology, Chemistry, or related math/science field and be certified (or able to obtain certification) in Kansas. A Masters degree is preferred and will command a higher salary, as will teaching experience. Successful candidates will have a strong ability to teach skills and content, while also organizing projects and experiences that are both cross curricular and college/career preparatory. Teachers at TMP-Marian are expected to develop caring relationships with students that allow them to demand greatness. Experience and/or interest in a wide variety of technological tools and STREAM is a plus.
