Construction/Manufacturing Teacher

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is currently seeking a Secondary (9-12 ) Construction/Manufacturing teaching position for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Position Specifics

Provide formal instruction and leadership in Construction and Manufacturing Technology. 

Courses may include: Intro to Industrial Technology, Production Manufacturing, and Construction. Also the potential to team teach in a Geometry in Construction class with a math teacher.

Safely supervise a shop environment with high school

Specify, select, install, operate, and maintain necessary equipment and/or training modules required to support the specific course(s) being taught within department

Opportunity to lead a student-run business within a Manufacturing environment

Potential Involvement and collaboration with our Innovation Academy which is a project-based academy focused on competency based learning and an innovative environment

Education or Verification of industry experience

(Preferred) Bachelor`s degree from an accredited college or university and a valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with applicable level-area endorsements.

(Alternative) Five (5) years of directly related verifiable experience in Construction Technology and/or Manufacturing.
