REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance

 

JOB GOAL:   To maintain the physical school plant and grounds in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of them may be made at all times.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Cleans and maintains district facilities and grounds to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
  2. Plans and oversees all maintenance and repair work, maintaing a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  3. Supervises and participates in the general cleaning of the building and grounds.
  4. Maintains an inventory and recommends purchase of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment.
  5. Secures facilities and grounds for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and potential liability to the district.
  6. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of district maintenance equipment to extend equipment life and reduce repair costs.
  7. Repairs furniture and equipment (desks, chairs, light bulbs, sinks, toilets, etc.) to ensure a safe, functional facility.
  8. Assists with the setup of building activities and programs.
  9. Assists with snow and ice removal.
  10. Strives constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the students and employees.
  11. Attends and participates in custodial and maintenance meetings and in-services.
  12. Performing such other duties as designated by his/her supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Salary and work year as established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
