  1. Demonstrate effective planning including the use of district curriculum- appropriate instructional objectives- effective teaching practices- and student assessment.
  2. Implement lesson plans that actively engage students and provide for the individual needs of students through the use of a variety of appropriate teaching models or strategies and techniques.
  3. Provide for individual student differences through appropriate lesson design- interventions- and extended learning opportunities.
  4. Provide clear and purposeful student evaluation as the basis for instruction and reporting progress.
  5. Provide positive motivational experiences to communicate high expectations for student learning that conveys belief in all students’ ability to learn.
  6. Consistent use of effective classroom management techniques that promote high standards for student performance- positive peer interactions and appropriate social behaviors.
  7. Communicate effectively in a clear- explicit manner so as to exhibit respect for students- colleagues- administration- parents- community members- and other key stakeholders.
  8. Work cooperatively with other school personnel to meet the needs of students and their families.
  9. Willingness to actively support students in their endeavors beyond the classroom through involvement in student organizations and athletic teams.
  10. Strive to continually improve your teaching knowledge and job performance through the use of approved professional activities and staff development opportunities.
  11. Maintain open lines of communication with administrative personnel keeping them informed of issues potentially requiring their attention.
  12. Perform other duties- as deemed appropriate- by the Principal.

Benefits Information

District will pay $500 per month, prorated for part-time teachers, toward a single or family policy on the district group health insurance plan. District reimburses up to $900 per school year for any college credit hours taken after employment begins. The district reimburses annually $100 for Attica Wellness Center memberships. Candidates can participate in the district 125 plan, tax-sheltered annuity plans, and medical reimbursement card program. Currently, Attica Public Schools serve 180 students in grades PreK-12.  Attica students have great attitudes toward learning and growing as a school community. The Attica Board of Education and Staff cares deeply for the students and works hard to give the students as many educational opportunities as possible.  Part of these opportunities come through experiencing education through hands-on learning of Project Based Learning, field trips, and Career and Technical Education Pathway experiences.  These experiences come to a conclusion in our high school through the Transition to Career program.  The T2C program allows our students to gain real-world experiences through internships, job shadowing, and even work placement.  This is a successful, cooperative program with the Chaparral School District, Medicine Lodge School District, and all Harper County manufacturing companies.
