Lead Teacher Coronado Elementary

OVERVIEW:            Coronado Elementary School (Salina Public Schools) is looking for a dynamic educational professional to provide assistance to the principal in carrying out duties related to its strong elementary education program.

Major Responsibilities:

         Serve as principal's designee in principal's absence

         Work with students and parents regarding school-related issues

         Facilitate tasks relating to school improvement and staff development

         Gather data and prepare written materials for required reports

         Communicate with staff, students and/or parents via written and oral communication

         Attend meetings and activities as needed

Qualifications:

1. Kansas Department of Education Licensure with elementary level endorsement and building leadership endorsement

2. Demonstrated successful teaching experience at elementary level

3. Evidence of:

         Positive working relationships with students, parents, staff and community

         Ability to work in leadership role

         Strong organization skills

         Effective communication skills

         Objective decision-making skills
