After School Program Coordinator

An energetic, child focused individual is needed to facilitate our after school program. This fun K-4 program has staff and community support.

A teaching license is not required for this position. 

The Program Director will provide both managerial and day-to-day oversight of the After School Program. The Director is responsible for:

·      staffing (interviewing, organizing and leading orientation trainings and year-end review, etc.)

·      providing adequate and ongoing professional development for staff

·      lead quarterly staff meetings and trainings with Site Coordinators

·      arrange Advisory Group meetings

·      develop and implement a parent volunteer program and organize "Family Nights"

·      coordinate academic and student enrichment activities

·      coordinate program-wide policy and procedure development

·      work with the external evaluator to assess the program’s progress toward goal fulfillment 

·      track and report progress towards goals to stakeholder groups

·      lead collaborative program adjustments based on data analysis

·      lead collaborative efforts with families, schools, community

·      track project expenditures and fee collection/billing

·      lead recruitment, dissemination, and data collection

·      attend required statewide, regional, and national meetings

·      other duties as assigned

Colby Public Schools USD 315 is a 3A school located in western Kansas on Interstate 70.  We have approximately 950 students and over 70 licensed staff members.

There is tremendous support for the school district in the community and surrounding area.  The strength of USD 315 programs stem from the collaborative efforts of staff, the parents, and the community. This includes a strong partnership with Colby Community College whereby students have the opportunity to earn college credit(s) or their Associate Degree prior to high school graduation.
