Paola Recreation Director

The person in this position serves as the chief administrator of the Paola Recreation Commission (PRC), acting in accordance with the by-laws, objectives and policies adopted by the Board. Under the supervision of the PRC Board, the Director manages, oversees, operates and continues to develop a comprehensive recreational organization to provide programs and activities to the USD 368 Paola School District and City of Paola. The employee works closely with the Board on the budget and control of funds. Director must be able to establish effective relationships with employees, volunteers, Board members, other City Officials, other USD 368 Officials, and the community.

Qualifications:

Preferred 2+ years experience work at administrative level for a Municipal Parks and Recreation Organization or related field. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in the field of Parks and Recreation, or related field preferred.
