Reading/ELA Interventionist

Eudora High School seeks candidates to fulfill the Reading/ELA Interventionist role for the 2024-2025 school year. The Reading/ELA Interventionist serves students with individualized instruction and academic support for reading comprehension and fluency. They also coach students at an instructional level. The Reading/ELA Interventionist will support- supplement- and extend classroom teaching to improve student performance related to reading. This will include being the building expert connected to the screener and progress monitoring application -FastBridge.-  The Reading/ELA Interventionist will also teach sections of grade-level ELA. 

 

The Reading/ELA Interventionist will also work closely with students to help them achieve reading skills that match their current grade level. Additionally- the Reading/ELA Interventionist strives to increase students` reading capabilities through literacy materials- reading programs- a wide variety of resources- and collaboration with parents and other teachers.

 

Reading/ELA Interventionists share responsibility with teachers for assessing students’ reading abilities- identifying deficiencies- and creating reading intervention plans and strategies for students selected for additional reading instruction.
