A Pre-K, elementary (K-5) school principal provides professional leadership in organizing, administering, supervising, and evaluating a creative and effective school program that promotes academic excellence for all students. In order to accomplish these tasks, the principal works closely with the community, staff, and administration of the Dodge City Public Schools.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accreditation college/university.
  • Three years administrative experience desirable.
  • Current Kansas Building Administrator certification (3010) for level K-9 or inclusive of appropriate levels.
  • Ability to lead staff in providing for academic excellence for all student groups.
  • Kansas Health Certification on file in the Central Office (after employment offer is made).
  • Desire to continue career improvement.
  • Such alternatives to the above as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

  • Copy of current Kansas Department of Education (KSDE) License or verification from KSDE that Kansas licensure is in process
