Job Summary: The primary role of the Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) is to provide services to children with visual impairments for orientation and safe travel skills within the classroom, school and community. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree from accredited college/university; valid drivers license and ability to travel between sites on a daily basis; knowledge of relevant technology; and effective communication skills, including video conferencing - knowledge of assistive technology devices and equipment for educational access is preferred. Qualified individuals should have or be eligible for a Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) Certificate through ACVREP. Salary per USD 465 Negotiated Agreement Salary Schedule, placement commensurate with education level and years of experience.
