Council Grove Junior Senior High School has an opening for a Student Support Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Coaching positions available upon inquiry. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants must currently hold or expect to hold a Kansas teaching license with the appropriate endorsements.

 Job Description

Online Curriculum

1.    Supervise students taking online courses.

2.    Logistical management of the online platform for students and courses.

3.    Provide academic support for online students.

4.    Regularly communicate with building administrators regarding student progress.

5.    Provide administration academic reports as requested.

6.    Communicate with parents regarding student progress and pacing with online courses.

PowerClass Course

1.    Monitor behavior and time-management for students.

2.    Serve as a liaison between students and their other classroom teachers.

3.    Meet at least weekly with each PowerClass student to monitor academic progress.

4.    Work on organizational and time management skills with students (use of planners, etc.)

5.    Build ongoing relationships with students.

Yearbook

1.    Supervise the completion of the CGJSHS Yearbook.

2.    Coordinate the publishing of the yearbook with the selected company.

Interventionist (if does not have Seminar)

1.      Conduct Reading Interventions as needed

2.      Conduct Progress Monitoring testing

3.      Conduct Math Interventions if needed

4.      Analyze classroom data (benchmark and progress monitoring as needed)

5.      Attend BLT and/or department meetings to contribute expertise and help with communication

6.      Communicate with teachers and other staff members concerning student needs
