Benefits Information

15 days paid vacation leave annually. 12 days paid sick leave annually and will accumulate to a maximum of 87 days. 2 days paid personal leave annually and will accumulate to a maximum of 4 days. Single health insurance policy provided through the ESSDACK consortium. Section 125 benefits. Paid Holidays Include: Spring Break, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, Friday following Thanksgiving, Winter Break

Marion County Special Education Cooperative #617 serves students in five school districts within Marion County, including USD 410 Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh, USD 408 Marion-Florence, USD 398 Peabody-Burns, USD 397 Centre-Lost Springs, and USD 411 Goessel. MCSEC is an inter-local that offers services for students birth to age 21.  

 

WHAT`S NEW:  In 2018, MCSEC and Tabor College partnered to form Project SEARCH, an educational transition program for older students with disabilities. Our Project SEARCH is a hybrid program that accepts interns from 18-30 years of age. The interns rotate through various departments of the college working in three different internship sites over the school year.  Marion County has appreciated this wonderful opportunity to further serve older students with disabilities.

LOCATION:  Marion is located along Hwy. 77 and Hwy. 56. We are roughly an hour drive to Salina or Wichita and approximately 45 minutes to El Dorado or Emporia. McPherson and Newton are within 25 minutes.
