Keystone Learning Services (U.S.D 608) is an educational Interlocal with a focus on special education.  Keystone provides services to the eight school districts that surround Lake Perry and outside the town of Atchison and Leavenworth.  These school districts are: Valley Falls, Jefferson County North, Jefferson County West, Oskaloosa, McLouth, Perry-Lecompton, Atchison County Community Schools and Easton (Pleasant Ridge).  Besides special education, Keystone facilitates other programs such as PAT, Tiny-K, State Grants, Operations and Facilities Consultation and professional development.

Keystone Learning Services is seeking a full time Special Education Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.

Applicants must have a valid Kansas Teaching License. If you are interested in becoming a special education teacher and hold a valid license in another area of teaching, Keystone can be the place you grow! We offer tuition reimbursement for teachers to pursue their special education license while working for us.  EOE

Salary Information

A twenty-step salary schedule is in effect. Keystone salary schedule is a collapsed schedule (as seen in the Negotiated Agreement on the Staff page of Keystone`s home page www.keystonelearning.org).

Keystone hires special education teachers, related service providers, and paraeducators for eight USDs including: Atchison County Community Schools #377, Jefferson County North #339, Jefferson West #340, McLouth #342, Oskaloosa #341, Perry-Lecompton #343, Valley Falls #338 and Easton #449. We also hire special education administrators to assist schools with planning, training, and supervision all staff and oversee compliance monitoring. The member districts are located in the beautiful countryside surrounding Lake Perry including portions of Douglas, Jackson, Jefferson, and Atchison Counties. 

 

In addition to special education services for the member districts, Keystone also provides services including:  Tiny K programs in 7 counties, internet and technology services, comprehensive staff development, Parents as Teachers in 21 school districts, hosts WebKIDSS IEP Consortium, John Dewey Learning Academy, and fiscal manager of KSDE Technical Assistance System Network (TASN), Autism and Tertiary Behavior Support (ATBS), and Kansas MTSS.
