USD 461 pays $540 a month towards a single health insurance policy which includes dental coverage and $740 a month on all policies beyond a single. They offer a comprehensive Section 125 benefit package as well as sick, personal, professional, and bereavement leave as per the negotiated agreement that can be viewed on our district website. Tuition at our Early Learning Center is half price for school district employees for their young children.

Pay is based on the negotiated salary schedule. The current base is $45,450 and increases based on experience and education.

USD 461 Neodesha is a 3A school district located in Southeast Kansas. This progressive community has approximately 2,500 citizens and is located on Highway 75 in Wilson County. Classes are held in a PK-3 facility, a 4-6 facility, and a 7-12 facility. Renovations to all three buildings were completed in 2001. The current district enrollment is approximately 700 students. Neodesha has several supportive education foundations for students and staff. USD 461 provides a quality education for all of our students. We are currently participating in the Gemini II Kansans Can School Redesign Project and KESA.

The Neodesha Promise Scholarship Program is designed to enhance Neodesha students preparation for successfully completing their chosen secondary education path.
