This district position would provide vocal music instruction for Thayer school as the home school assignment with a the intent to provide choir opportunities in Cherryvale for both middle and high school choirs. The day may be structured roughly 2/3 and 1/3 in both buildings. (Coaching duties are possible within the district) Thayer School is a rural elementary school located in Thayer KS. A K-8 building with 130 students, Thayer School offers a family atmosphere with one section per grade level and a team approach at teaching kids of all grades. Thayer school has strong ties to the MTSS process; showing proven results. Thayer has a very low turnover rate because of loving and caring kids and a great staff. The chosen candidate will be joining a very strong dedicated faculty. They should have a dedication to becoming a better educator every day. Cherryvale Middle High School is a rural school located in Cherryvale KS. We are a 7-12 building with approximately 50 students per grade level. Cherryvale Middle High school is a school that values collaboration and forward thinking with all of its stakeholders. We have a very low turnover rate at CMHS, and the candidate will join a very strong and experienced school staff.
