Paraeducator - Basehor Intermediate SchoolBasehor-Linwood USD 458 • www.usd458.org The Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraeducator in the Resource Room for Basehor Intermediate School- grades 3-5 for the 2023-2024 school year. The TBLSEC provides special education services to students in both the Basehor-Linwood and Tonganoxie School Districts.
The person in this position works under the direct supervision of a teacher- provides assistance in implementing plans and programs related to the academic or functional skill attainment for students with mental- physical- academic- behavioral and/or emotional learning challenges. Works directly with students- individually or in small groups. This may require lifting or assisting with personal needs. Person will work 6.5 hours per day- Monday through Friday.

Employer Information Basehor-Linwood Unified School District 458 serves students and families in a 90 square mile area of southern Leavenworth County, Kansas. We currently have 8 district attendance centers. Our Early Learning Center for Childcare and Pre-K opened for the 2020-21 school year in August. K-5 buildings are located in Bonner Springs, Basehor and the Glenwood Ridge subdivision. A new K-5 building, located in Basehor, opened in the Fall 2021. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 attend Basehor-Linwood Middle School in Basehor, near the center of the district. Basehor-Linwood High School, located in Basehor, is a 5A school, serving students in grades 9 through 12.
BLHS was named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. In addition, the district operates Basehor-Linwood Virtual School, an internet-based school serving approximately 250 K-12 students statewide instructed by Basehor-Linwood teachers.
Special Education services are provided by the Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative located in Basehor.
