Band and Vocal Music Teacher 6-12thThomas More Prep-Marian • www.tmp-m.org Thomas More Prep-Marian Jr/Sr High School (2A co-ed Catholic school, enrollment 280) is seeking a full-time band and vocal music teacher to inspire students to become proficient in their musical endeavors. A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Music, Music Education or related field and be certified (or able to obtain certification) in Kansas. A Masters degree is preferred and will command a higher salary, as will teaching experience. Successful candidates will have a strong ability to teach skills and motivate students. Teachers at TMP-Marian are expected to develop caring relationships with students that allow them to demand greatness. Supplemental stipends in Pep Band, Pop Singers, and Fall Musical Music Director make this a generous compensation package. It is anticipated that this position will have JH and HS Band along with HS and JH vocal. There will be a minimum of two planning periods for the extra time needed to prepare for competitions and festivals. The school will work with the candidate to be flexible in scheduling.
