 Job Description:

1) Essential Functions
a. Regular attendance in the school building and timeliness are required.
b. Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.
c. Works with staff to initiate, design and implement programs to meet specific needs of the students.
d. Keeps the board informed of the school`s activities, achievements and problems.
e. Makes recommendations to the board concerning the school`s staffing and instructional needs.
f. Prepares and submits budget requests and monitors expenditures of funds.
g. Prepares all reports, records, lists and all other paperwork appropriate to the school`s operation and administration.
h. Enforces all district policies and helps interpret them to the staff and the public.
i. Assists in the development, revision and evaluation of the curriculum and of each student`s mastery of instructional outcomes.
j. Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary and assures due process for students when appropriate.
k. Serves as activities director for all school programs.
l. Assists in the development and operation of in-service programs for certified teachers and (as appropriate) classified staff.
m. Supervises and evaluates all professional, paraprofessional and classified staff working in the school and reporting to the Superintendent on their performance.
n. Plans and supervises fire, tornado and other emergency drills.
o. Responds to all written and oral requests for information from the board and the Superintendent.
p. Acts as liaison between the school and the community.

c. Follow district policies, handbooks and regulations
