District housing large enough for families is available for teachers in both Bazine and Ransom.  Both communities have recreation facilities, gas and automobiles service facilities, banks, and Ransom has both a medical clinic and hospital as well.  Both communities have easy access to larger population centers such as Hays, Dodge City, and Great Bend that are all with in an hour`s drive.

Western Plains USD 106, is committed to excellence and offers great opportunities for both new and experienced teachers.  For more information, and a deeper look into the workings of Western Plains please refer to tour website at usd106.org.
