The school Social Worker will provide assistance in meeting the physical and emotional needs of children to improve their ability to learn and adjust in school. School Social Workers employed by the East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education are considered mental health professionals who provide direct and indirect therapeutic services with, or on behalf of, exceptional students and their families, in collaboration with the case managers and district employed social workers and WRAP workers. KPERS and other benefits are a part of the package.
