This job reports to the Director of Student Learning. Essential Functions 1. Program Management: - Develop and implement district-wide Title I programs and initiatives - Design and coordinate the district's MTSS framework - Monitor program effectiveness and student achievement data - Coordinate with school administrators to ensure program alignment - Oversee parent and family engagement activities - Manage federal program audits and monitoring visits 2. MTSS Implementation: - Lead the development and implementation of district-wide MTSS framework - Support schools in implementing tiered interventions - Coordinate universal screening and progress monitoring systems - Analyze data to evaluate intervention effectiveness - Guide problem-solving teams in decision-making processes - Facilitate the integration of academic and behavioral supports 3. Budget Administration: - Prepare and manage Title I budgets - Monitor program expenditures and ensure fiscal compliance - Process purchase orders and maintain financial records - Coordinate with the finance department on grant management - Manage resources for MTSS implementation 4. Compliance and Documentation: - Ensure adherence to federal and state Title I regulations - Monitor MTSS implementation fidelity - Prepare and submit required reports and documentation - Maintain program records and documentation - Monitor school-level compliance with Title I requirements - Update policies and procedures as regulations change 5. Professional Development: - Plan and coordinate professional development for Title I staff - Provide training on MTSS framework and interventions - Support teachers in implementing evidence-based interventions - Keep staff informed of program updates and requirements - Train staff on data collection and analysis procedures 6. Stakeholder Engagement: - Coordinate parent involvement activities and communications - Facilitate Title I parent advisory committees - Collaborate with community partners and organizations - Support schools in developing parent engagement strategies - Communicate MTSS processes to stakeholders Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or related field - Valid teaching certificate - 5+ years teaching experience, preferably in Title I schools - Knowledge of federal and state education laws and regulations - Experience with grant management and budget administration - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Understanding of MTSS framework and intervention strategies Responsibility 1. Program Leadership: - Direct the planning and implementation of Title I programs - Lead district-wide MTSS implementation - Monitor program effectiveness and student achievement - Lead program evaluation and improvement efforts 2. MTSS Coordination: - Guide the development of intervention protocols - Support data-based decision making - Coordinate student support team meetings - Monitor intervention effectiveness - Facilitate communication between tiers of support 3. Fiscal Management: - Oversee Title I budgeting and spending - Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements - Maximize resource allocation for student benefit 4. Data Management: - Collect and analyze program data - Monitor student progress across tiers - Generate required reports and documentation - Use data to inform program improvements - Track intervention effectiveness 5. Staff Development: - Coordinate professional development activities - Train staff on MTSS procedures and interventions - Support teachers in implementing interventions - Provide guidance on Title I requirements 6. Community Engagement: - Foster parent and family involvement - Build community partnerships - Facilitate communication between schools and families Work Environment - Office setting with frequent visits to school sites - Regular attendance at evening meetings and events - Travel between district schools required - High level of interaction with administrators, teachers, parents, and community members - Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines - Regular use of computer and standard office equipment - May require occasional weekend work for parent engagement activities - Regular participation in student support team meetings - Flexible schedule to accommodate various school schedules and intervention needs Experience: Job-related experience is preferred. Salary Information Salary is based on the negotiated agreement and determined by educational level and years of experience. This position also receives a supplement of 3% for the additional coordinator duties. Base salary for a beginning teacher with no experience is $43,260 for the 2024-2025 school year. Our district includes portions of Geary, Wabaunsee, Lyon, and Morris Counties, and is only 30 minutes from both Manhattan and Emporia.
