Title I Job Description - Half time position CGES

Stay knowledgeable of current MTSS guidelines and district protocols

Stay knowledgeable of screening and progress monitoring systems (i.e. FastBridge, SpringMath)

Help to coordinate Benchmark testing

Conduct Benchmark testing for certain teachers if needed

Conduct diagnostic testing as needed (decoding surveys)

Assist with the creation of intervention schedules

Conduct Reading Interventions as needed

Conduct Progress Monitoring testing for teachers under certain circumstances

Conduct Math Interventions as needed

Analyze classroom data (benchmark and progress monitoring as needed)

Attend PLC meetings to contribute expertise and help with communication 

Train paras and aides in Evidence-based programs if needed

If needed, assist in training teachers in Evidence-based programs

Communicate with teachers and other staff members concerning student needs

Assist teachers in understanding data and intervention needs

Serve as Data Coordinator (reading/math) for CGES for District Leadership Team purposes

Attend District Leadership Team meetings (the person who is in all three buildings)

Demonstrate a basic understanding of core ELA and math resources to support differentiation


 

Title I Job Description - Half time position PHES & CGJSHS (Coordinator level)

Determine amount of time in each building (per approximately 20 hours total each week) based on communication with principals and needs of each building

Communicate regularly with the building principal

Analyze Benchmark Data and provide expertise to staff members

Check in on Progress Monitoring Data as needed

Attend PLCs whenever possible to support data discussions

Intervention Observation and Support

Support Teachers in selection and implementation of Intervention materials

Teach teachers and aides/paras on how to implement interventions and procedures as needed

Help with scheduling of interventions as needed

Follow up and follow through on timelines and tasks

Assist with Supplies and Ordering (spring inventory) 

Conduct reading interventions as needed

Serve as Data Coordinator (reading/math for CGJSHS and PHES) for District Leadership Team purposes.


 

Title I Coordinator - Negotiated Agreement Supplemental Assignment

Assist the Director of Curriculum and Instruction with the Local Consolidated Plan as needed, including:

Determine duties for each Title I staff member per each benchmark period

Ensure that the district has a family engagement policy and that both elementary schools are following said policy

Create & gather signatures of all parents on the Title I Parent/School Compact who are being served by the district

Coordinate the Annual Meeting for CGES & PHES 

Ensure the upkeep of the Title I website

Document the education and/or test results of instructional aides and paraeducators working in both elementary schools

Work with new aides who must pass the paraeducator assessment 

Assist in ensuring that the district Title I program is in compliance with all federal and state regulations, including assisting with the evaluation of the Title I program (parent surveys).

Be aware of, and assist with, the Local Consolidated Plan

Other responsibilities as assigned by building principals or Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Salary Information

Salary is based on the negotiated agreement and determined by educational level and years of experience. This position also receives a supplement of 3% for the additional coordinator duties. Base salary for a beginning teacher with no experience is $42,000 for the 2023-2024 school year and negotiations are being held for the 2024-2025 salaries.

Unified School District 417 is located in east-central Kansas in the beautiful Flint Hills region. Our district includes portions of Geary, Wabaunsee, Lyon, and Morris Counties, and is only 30 minutes from both Manhattan and Emporia. It is comprised of two elementary schools and Council Grove Junior Senior High School (3A). The district has an average enrollment of 770 students.
