RECRUITING AND HIRING

Purpose: To attract, recruit and retain high quality teachers and administrators in Coffeyville schools, to ensure that students are given the best opportunities to fulfill their potential. Our first priority is to hire the most qualified applicant in any available position. We are constantly and actively recruiting minority applicants. Because our student body is approximately 20% African American, 20% Native American and 7% Latino, we strongly encourage minority applicants, especially African Americans, Native Americans, and Latino minorities to apply for open positions within our district.   USD 445 only accepts applications submitted online.

Coffeyville USD 445 school district is located in southeast Kansas on the Oklahoma border; about 70 miles from Tulsa, Oklahoma and approximately 135 miles from Wichita, Kansas. SCHOOLS

Coffeyville Unified School District #445 has a diverse student population comprised of six attendance centers:

  • Field Kindley High School is a 9-12 center with approximately 500 students.
  • Roosevelt Middle School is a 7-8 center with approximately 250 students.
  • Community Elementary is a K-6 center with about 900 students.
  • Dr. Jerry Hamm Early Childhood Learning Center is our birth to four- year old center.

INSTRUCTION

USD 445 employs six instructional coaches district wide to assist teachers in everything from Literacy First strategies, technology integration, and in the latest in teaching and learning strategies.

TECHNOLOGY

Coffeyville USD 445 operates a large technology budget and incorporates the latest technology in the classroom, including eno boards, projectors in every room, IP phone system, and four computer labs. All teachers are issued  a laptop for use in their classrooms. Laptops are 1:1 for all middle school and high school students.
